Day 1: AIRPORT/CRYSTAL PARADISE
You will be met at the airport by your Belizean driver and transferred to your jungle lodge accommodations. En route to Crystal Paradise you will have the opportunity to visit our Little Belize Zoo for a self-guided tour. If you have a late flight on this day, we can arrange for your Belize Zoo stop on the day you leave. Zoo entrance fee not included, US$15/per adult and US$5/per child 3-11 yrs. We check into our accommodations at Crystal Paradise after a short orientation.

Day 2: MACAL RIVER CANOEING & HORSEBACK RIDING
After breakfast we will drive you about 2.5 miles upstream the Macal River, from there we will canoe down back to Crystal Paradise. Optional stop at the Belize Botanical Garden for a self-guided tour, you can also purchase a guided tour directly with them once you are there. If you are a birder, bring yoru binoculars as this is an opportunity to see view water birds, high possibility of seeing Neotropic Cormorants, Mangrove Swallows, Kingfishers, Gray-necked Wood-rails and other wildlife that frequent the riverbanks such as iguanas sunning themselves on the rocks and trees.
Afternoon Horseback Riding in Cristo Rey Village
Enjoy the fresh air and the beauty of the Belizean country side during this relaxing yet very educational tour. While riding with your guide, learn about our people, our culture and some of our traditions, in particular, learn about our people in the village of Cristo Rey.

Day 3: BARTON CREEK CAVE / AFTERNOON TO RELAX
Most people find the canoe tour by torchlight through this cave unforgettable. Its large river passage and pristine formations are just two of the reasons why this appeals to both local and foreign visitors. Besides its natural beauty the site is made even more interesting by the presence of a wide range of archaeological remains that were left there by the ancient Maya visitors. Archaeologists believe that this cave was used for ritual purposes. After your canoeing tour we return to Crystal Paradise, you will have lunch, and you will have the rest of the afternoon to relax and explore the grounds. Entrance fee to Barton Creek not included, US$5/pp.

Day 4: CARACOL MAYA RUINS FULL DAY
After breakfast we drive to Caracol as we traverses through the Mountain Pine Ridge area. The road travels over a series of creeks, through lush tropical forest and pine forest, habitat for a variety of bird species. The highest canopy rain-forest is home to several species of cats, as well as rare birds such as the Keel-Billed Mot Mot, Crested Guan, Great Curassow and the Occelated Turkey. A wide variety of orchids, vines and trees are also found in the area. This site is home to the tallest man-made structure in Belize, Canna (sky palace), standing some 143 ft above the plaza floor. The discovery of Alter 23, which shows bound captives, indicates that Caracol was an extremely fierce and war like center. After your tour of Caracol you will have the opportunity to explore the Rio Frio Cave followed by a stop at the Rio On Pools for a refreshing dip. After a relaxing swim we will drive you back to Crystal Paradise. Entrance fee to site not included, US$7.50/pp.

Day 5: SAN IGNACIO/SHOPPING/MARTZ FARM
Today will be a very interesting day. After breakfast you can stay around the grounds for a while and then get ready to check-out. We will drive you to San Ignacio where you will have the opportunity to explore the town. Visit the local gift shops, the local restaurants, and depending on the day of the week you can also visit the farmer’s market (best market day is Saturday, Fridays and Tuesday are also market days but with less vendors). Lunch for this day is not included in your package; you can purchase you own lunch in San Ignacio from a local restaurants or vendors at the market. After lunch we will drive you to Martz Farm, this jungle hotel is about 40 minutes away from the town of San Ignacio.

Day 6: LA CAPITANA PANTOON BOAT TOUR
This day will be a relaxing day on the lake visiting several spectacular swimming holes and picturesque waterfalls. We will drift along the lake, hike to secluded waterfalls, and enjoy views of the majestic Maya Mountains and the calls of howler monkeys.

Day 7: DEPARTURE – MARTZ FARM /AIRPORT
After breakfast get ready to check out, we will transfer you the International Airport where you will connect to your flight back home. B/
